My Story

Guiding you to
better health.

Growing up, my mom cooked every meal from scratch and sugar was a rare treat she monitored religiously. I didn't know it then, but she was teaching me how to eat well before I understood the impact. Then I joined the Navy — and everything changed.

Where it started

Root cause,

quick fixes.

Conventional medicine gave me a diagnosis and a prescription. Functional nutrition gave me answers. I learned that my gut was the missing piece — and once I addressed it, my mental health transformed.

Now I help others find that same missing piece through education, functional testing, and targeted protocols.

On my own for the first time, I ate whatever I wanted and fast food became my comfort. Eating processed foods felt harmless, until it wasn't. By my second year of service, I had gained twenty pounds and my mood started slipping. My menstrual cycles became heavy and unpredictable and I started to believe that I just wasn't as sharp as everyone else. I couldn't focus and felt slow. What I didn’t realize back then, is that I was creating beliefs about my worth and competency based on the lie that my nutrition building.

— A lesson it took me years to unlearn

The Journey

Twenty years of getting to the real answer.

Every stage taught me something the last one couldn't — from fitness stages to functional labs.

Timeline

Magazines, supplements, and exercise as a fix

I did what most of us do — I tried to exercise my way into feeling and looking better. I devoured every health and fitness magazine I could find and tried supplement after supplement.

All of that effort was like pouring water into a bucket with a hole in it, because I hadn't changed my nutrition. I undervalued the impact of the food I was happily consuming.

Chasing it from the outside

The shift that finally moved the needle

I loved fitness routines full of gymnastics, dance, and strength — the challenge of pushing myself physically and mentally. But I was still mostly eating empty calories: sugary yogurt, processed crackers, carrots. Rarely lean protein or greens.

Competing meant a strict diet of just 120 grams of carbohydrates a week — I used to eat that in a single day. Removing refined foods and sugar was hard, but I complied with my trainer's plan: real protein, more vegetables, healthy fats.

The baby weight came off. I reached 7% body fat and earned my IFBB pro card. My acne cleared, my anxiety eased, and for the first time I could feel — directly and physically — how food was shaping my body and mind..

Age 35, two toddlers, competition stage

The shift that finally moved the needle

Even while eating a variety of greens, good fats, quality protein, and no gluten, I was still fighting hormonal issues and carrying ten extra pounds that wouldn't budge. That stubborn weight turned out to be inflammation — my gut was inflamed and leaky, quietly driving systemic problems no amount of "eating well" could fix on its own.

A full gut-healing protocol changed my cognition, rebalanced my hormones, and brought me back to competition weight.

Finding the ten pounds that wouldn't move

The gut is the missing piece

My passion for health stems back 40 years, but functional nutrition showed me that we're all chasing solutions to hormonal chaos, mood swings, stubborn weight, and brain fog — usually from the outside in. More cardio, fewer carbs, another peptide, the latest trend.

The root of so many chronic issues sits right in the middle of your body: the gut. Healing it restores the two-way communication between gut and brain through the vagus nerve — the same breakdown that can sit underneath autoimmune conditions, elevated lipids, reflux, mood disturbances, and hormonal imbalance.
